California Education Partners’ facilitates and supports working partnerships between districts (and in some cases charter management organizations.). Ed Partners supports school district leaders and staff to partner witheach other in order to share knowledge and best practices and jointly develop and implement effective programs and policies that advance student success. The organization itself is not a delivery mechanism for quality and excellence and intentionally does not recreate or compete against competent systems or providers. Rather, we serve to elevate and broker the expertise that exists in districts and to provide a structure that allows high-quality collaboration. In this capacity, Ed Partners partners with high-quality organizations that provide specific tools to improve student achievement.
California Education Partners is collaborating with REL West and the California Comprehensive Center at WestEd, and the California Collaborative on District Reform at American Institute of Research to support district implementation of the Common Core State Standards. Districts were invited to participate in an August 2012 symposium: Collaborating for Success. The forum encouraged participating district teams to learn from experts and each other, engage in discussions and planning activities, and collaborate to move forward with implementation of the Common Core State Standards.
This report is based on the information shared with participants at the symposium. Please find a PDF version of the report here.
