Mike serves as Program Manager with the 8th & 9th Grade On Track collaboration where he supports initiatives that promote early interventions, equitable grading, and strong transitions to ensure all students meet A-G requirements for college readiness. He is committed to transforming educational systems and fostering success for every student
Over his 20 years in public education Mike has served as a classroom teacher, Middle and High School principal and district administrator. Under Mike’s leadership his schools have increased test scores consistently by working to improve their structures and identifying areas of support for struggling students.
Mike earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from George Fox University where he researched School-Based Transition Strategies to improve students’ success in High School.
Throughout his career Mike has seen the transformative power of improving school site systems to support students and staff by helping students to reach their potential. He has worked to close achievement gaps and open doors for students to become successful in College/Career success.
