As Chief Executive Officer of the Chamberlin Education Foundation, Dr. Stefanie Phillips directs grant making and programmatic investments that support West Contra Costa Unified School District’s principals and educators, WCC charter school quality, local community leaders, and parent advocates. All of these efforts serve to improve equitable access and academic gains for the roughly 34,000 students in West Contra Costa’s K-12 public schools.
Dr. Phillips is formerly the Superintendent of the Santa Ana Unified School District, brings an inclusive, equity-focused vision as well as two decades of public school leadership and district financial stewardship to the CAED Partners Board. Dr. Phillips is focused on increasing leader capacity and efficacy to drive instructional improvements. Additionally, she has served on the faculty of USC Rossier School of Education since 2006.
